The mission of Spring Woods United Methodist Church is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, to build an ever-growing community of faith in which human needs and hurts can be met, to equip its members for ministry and to transform lives through a loving relationship with God.
What to Expect on Sunday Morning
If you're like most of us, visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating, especially when you don't know what to expect. We want you to feel comfortable when you come so you are free to enjoy the music, the message, and all the great people that call Spring Woods UMC their church home.
We strive to provide a place where real people can glorify God through different styles. We offer a traditional service at 9:30 a.m. and a Praise & Worship service at 11:00 a.m. Though each service has a distinct atmosphere and music style, both share the same inspiring Biblical message from Pastor Phillips, a Children's Moment, and a community of people eager to spread the Good News of Christ's love for us. Feel free to dress as casual as you feel comfortable for any service.
9:30 Traditional Service
If you've never experienced a traditional service before, come see what it's all about. While the traditional service maintains a long-established liturgical style, we use the now-familiar large screens to guide prayers and hymns. Music selections are primarily traditional hymns led by the Chancel Choir.
11:00 Praise & Worship Service
If you love Praise and Worship songs, then the Praise & Worship Service is the one for you. The Praise & Worship Service is led by Called Forth, Spring Woods' dedicated Praise Team. While the inspiring message by Pastor Phillips is the same for both worship services, the Praise & Worship service offers a more casual atmosphere with fewer liturgical elements.
Special Worship Times
Spring Woods has a variety of special worship services during holy days, including expanded offerings during the Easter and Christmas seasons.
