Spring Woods United Methodist Church has been and continues to be an example of the compassion Christ exhibited during his short time on earth. There are over 2,000 verses in the Bible telling us we are to help the poor or those less fortune. Ten times in the New testament Jesus was "moved by compassion" and he spent over 1/3 of his ministry assisting the poor and caring for the sick. Giving blood is the ultimate act of selflessness and compassion for our fellow man. Each donation saves up to 3 lives, and cancer patients use the most blood. Please continue to give blood if you do and give serious thought and prayer to the idea of donating the next time you can, if you have never done so before.
